Today I was shocked when doing some online training for my upcoming Red Cross volunteer assignments, my 6- year-old Toby had a bad dream, suddenly jumped in my lap and was shaking uncontrollably. I immediately put my computer aside, and held him close to my chest and could feel his fear- fight, flight or freeze.

After a few minutes  while comforting him and praying that he slowly began to show signs of coming back.  His breathing slowed down and his body relaxed. We stepped outside because I wanted to get him back into a normal state and see how he would respond.  He was wobbly for just a sec then back to his normal playful self. I have experienced my pets having seizures in the past, so I knew what to look for in that case. He has been resting, but I am keeping an eye on him. Lulu (cat in photo)  is our beloved girl that passed last summer.  Here they are together soaking up some vitamin D.

 

 

I was thinking how much we are going through right now with this global crisis and how easy it can be to fall into a state of anxiety and fear. It’s like a bad dream, yet it’s not a dream  It’s time that we lean into Divine Wisdom. Look up and see the various translations of Proverbs 3:5-7.

We cannot allow what is happening to cause us to live in a state of fear. Mediate on that scripture and then write down what you hear the Holy Spirit speaking to your heart. When you truly lean into God, you will get daily guidance. Today, I was unexpectedly directed to cancel something and guided to attend (virtually) something that I didn’t know about prior to today. If you think following Jesus and trusting God is boring, think again.

I have just signed up for the Red Cross to be a volunteer. With a heart for missions, God is opening this door right here in the United States. My mission #ThinkLoveFirst is to be love in action.  I will be using my head, following the guidelines.

This Holy week is a good time to spend some time really reflecting on what you put your faith in. Where do you find your identity?  My inspirational word of knowledge from the Lord was that this is a time for us to reset – individually, in our families, cities, states, our country and in countries around the world. We have been distracted and our civility has destroyed. Our freedom to worship as we choose is a gift. We need to return to a nation that respects all humanity and sees God is every person. My prayer is that everyone has a supernatural encounter with God, sees Jesus (Yeshua) and knows that they do can be resurrected to new life.  If you are walking around dead, perhaps you know there is a better way.
