Peter Frampton Never Say Never Tour Inspires Singer/Songwriter to Never Say Never

The little girl in me remembered a few of these powerhouse tunes from the 70’s. A last-minute opportunity presented itself to go, see this rock legend. I wasn’t feeling great, but that small voice inside beckoned me to go knowing that I could leave early if necessary. I really had no expectations but felt prompted that I needed to go. Wow! Now I know why!

My album was offered as I was walking out the uncovering of all the neurological and muscular-skeletal, CNS effects that I have struggled with for decades. Weakness, pain, and nerve damage was growing worse making life more and more difficult to navigate. These rare insidious conditions (there are many) seem to take forever to uncover. It’s easy to blow things off and say it’s because of this or that. Listen to your body. Don’t ignore your body when she or he is trying to tell you something is not right.

My music is streaming in today’s digital world. https://dallasteague.hearnow.com You may see me dancing and performing with @magiccitydisco which I love and also part of my brain body retraining. It often takes a while for me to recover after I give it my all. That’s what we performers do. Imagine a normal performance then increase that impact 100-fold. If you are interested in a personal copy of my CD you can get them here on my music site.

I had to get past my paradigms when it came to producing my music. As these songs were flowing, it was important to me to choose a few to have a completed product. When you are in the middle of a crisis, it’s hard to see beyond the right now and make future plans. I didn’t want to be in limbo. I needed to finish something in my life. Too much else was in limbo. I was facing a possible brain tumor and other systemic complications as a result of this chronic condition.

2023 has been a difficult one for me physically. There have been highlights along the way for which I am grateful. I have had to make peace with this season. As my body is getting the B12 she needs, it can take years to offset the effects of years of malabsorption. It is not a fad or general energy boost you see in the general consciousness today.

Like Peter Frampton, I am determined to never give up. Every person is unique and outcomes vary. I can appreciate and emphasize the additional effort it takes. Don’t let your condition define you.

It’s a delicate balance and takes a support team, cheerleaders, and those who encourage you along the journey. Those to come alongside you and refuse to place a limit on what is possible. There are still things you can do, it may just need to be adjusted, or modified. There are ways that perhaps you haven’t considered. The questions have to move and change when circumstances call for a new path forged.

Perhaps a live show will unfold for me in 2024. I am currently singing with my choir and find that nourishing to my soul. If a live show is to unfold, the team, musicians, and support will have to appear.

If so, the team, cheerleaders, and support will appear. Music is so healing, touching the heart where mere words can never go.

With love,

Dallas
